Lighting a Fire on the Eve of Chinese New Year, Lamma Island, Hong Kong
On the morning before Chinese New Year, I took my walk to the fishing town of Sok Kwu Wan, as planned.
It was quite cold that day. I had breakfast in Yung Shue Wan and then made my way through the streets.
I stopped to warm my hands here, but was unable to determine if this fire was for ceremonial purposes, cooking, or just to keep warm.
